Year 5

Digital Detectives - spot the signs, make good choices.

A Year 5 Online Safety and Digital Awareness Workshop

Digital Detectives helps pupils develop the knowledge and confidence to navigate the online world safely. Through engaging discussions and real-life scenarios, students explore group chats, online friendships, AI-generated images, age restrictions on apps, and the importance of speaking up when something doesn't feel right.

The workshop helps children recognise the difference between banter and bullying, understand the risks of communicating with strangers online, identify early warning signs of grooming, and learn how AI can be used both positively and negatively. Pupils leave with practical strategies to make safer choices online, trust their instincts, and know how to seek support from trusted adults when they need it.
