Year 6
Respect it. Protect it. Own it!
A Year 6 Online Safety, Boundaries and Digital Behaviour Workshop
Respect it. Protect it. Own it! builds on pupils' understanding of online safety by exploring how respect, consent and personal boundaries apply in the digital world. Through interactive discussion and real-life scenarios, students learn how to make safe choices online while recognising their responsibility to treat others with kindness and respect.
The workshop explores privacy, location sharing, online friendships, gaming and social media, helping pupils understand how digital spaces can sometimes be used to pressure, manipulate or control others. Students also learn about the risks associated with online challenges, inappropriate content, group chats and AI-generated images. By the end of the session, pupils will have practical strategies to protect themselves, respect the boundaries of others and confidently seek help when something doesn't feel right.
